Services
- Hardwood Installation — Real hardwood is an investment, and the install is what makes it last. We acclimate every board to your home, level subfloors to spec, and install nail-down, glue-down, or floating systems with tight seams and crisp transitions. From classic white oak to wide-plank walnut and herringbone patterns, 35 years of craftsmanship show in every detail — including stairs, thresholds, and trim.
- Sanding & Refinishing — Our dust-contained sanding system removes years of wear, scratches, and dull finish without coating your home in dust. We custom-match stains, then seal with premium oil- or water-based finishes for a floor that looks brand new and protects the wood for another decade. Most refinishes are done in a few days, with your furniture back where it belongs.
- Luxury Vinyl Plank — Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and tile deliver the look of real hardwood or stone with 100% waterproof performance — ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and homes with pets or kids. We install both click-lock floating and glue-down systems, with attention to underlayment acoustics and transitions so your floor feels solid underfoot and looks seamless room to room.
- Laminate Flooring — Laminate is the smart choice when you want the warm look of real wood with budget-friendly toughness. We install premium AC4/AC5 rated planks engineered to resist scratches, dents, fading, and daily wear — perfect for busy households, rentals, and high-traffic commercial spaces. Subfloor prep, moisture barriers, and tight-seam click-lock installation come standard.
- Floor Repairs & Replacement — Water damage, deep gouges, pet stains, squeaky boards, or a single cracked plank — we do invisible repairs that blend with your existing floor's color, grain, and finish. When repair isn't enough, our replacement service handles tear-out, disposal, subfloor leveling, and reinstallation so your space is back in use quickly, with no compromise on quality.
- Tile & Luxury Vinyl Tile — For wet rooms and high-traffic entries we supply and install porcelain and ceramic tile as well as luxury vinyl tile (LVT) — the waterproof, warm-underfoot alternative that mimics stone at a fraction of the weight and cost. Level substrate, correct thin-set and grout, and clean transitions to the wood floors in the next room are all part of the job.
- Carpet — Carpet still wins for warmth and quiet in bedrooms, stairs and family rooms. We help you choose the right fiber, pile and pad for how the room is used, then supply and install it with proper power-stretching, seam placement and clean edges — including stair runners paired with hardwood treads.
- Cork Flooring — Harvested from the renewable bark of cork oak trees, cork flooring is one of the most eco-friendly options on the market — naturally insulating, sound-absorbing, and softly cushioned underfoot. It resists mold, mildew, and pests, making it ideal for kitchens, bedrooms, playrooms, and home offices. We install floating click-lock planks and glue-down tiles, finished for years of low-maintenance comfort.
- Stairs & Hand Railing — A staircase is the centerpiece of your home — and the railing is what makes it. We design, build, and install custom hand railings, newel posts, and balusters in solid oak, maple, walnut, and exotic hardwoods to match your floors and architecture. From traditional turned spindles to clean modern profiles and iron picket combinations, every railing is built to code, sanded smooth, and finished on site.
FAQ
Do you only do hardwood?
No. Hardwood is where we started in 1991, but we supply and install every major flooring type: solid and engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, tile and luxury vinyl tile (LVT), cork, and carpet. We also sand and refinish existing wood floors, do repairs and subfloor leveling, and build custom stairs and hand railings.
Do you sell the flooring too, or just install it?
Both. You can pick from samples we bring to your free in-home estimate — we supply the material and install it, so there's one contract, one crew and one person accountable for the result. If you already bought flooring, we're happy to install that as well.
How long does a typical hardwood installation take?
Most residential installations take 3–7 days depending on square footage, floor leveling needs, and finishing. You'll get an exact timeline at your free in-home estimate.
Do I need to leave my house during sanding and refinishing?
Our dust-contained sanding system keeps mess to a minimum, but oil-based finishes have strong odors that typically require 1–2 days away. Water-based finishes let you return the same day.
What warranty do you offer?
Every project includes a 1-year workmanship warranty. Materials carry the manufacturer's warranty — often 25 years or lifetime for premium hardwood.
Can you match my existing hardwood for a repair?
Yes. With 35 years of experience we excel at custom stain matching and locating discontinued species so repairs blend invisibly.
Do you handle commercial projects?
Absolutely. We work on offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and multi-family properties throughout the LA area.
How much does hardwood flooring cost in Los Angeles?
It depends on the species, square footage and how much prep the subfloor needs — which is exactly why we measure in person. Every estimate is free, written and itemized, so you can compare it line by line.
Can engineered hardwood be refinished?
Most engineered hardwoods can be refinished 1–2 times depending on the wear layer thickness. We'll measure yours during the estimate.
Do you offer eco-friendly finishes?
Yes — we offer low-VOC water-based finishes and natural oil/wax finishes for clients prioritizing indoor air quality.
