The Value of Real Wood
Hardwood is one of the few flooring materials that grows more beautiful with age. Beyond the warm, natural look, solid and engineered wood floors offer long-term value that laminate, carpet, and vinyl simply can't match.

A properly installed hardwood floor can last 50 to 100 years. Because the wear surface is solid wood, floors can be sanded and refinished multiple times to remove scratches, dents, and everyday wear without full replacement.

How It's Done
Every project follows the same careful sequence, whether it's a fresh install or a refinish. Skipping any step is where most flooring problems start.
We walk the space, measure every room, and review your goals, timeline, and species preferences. Accurate measurements up front prevent material shortages and change orders later.
The subfloor is cleaned, leveled, and moisture-tested. Wood expands and contracts with humidity, so acclimating planks on site and confirming a dry, flat base is essential to a floor that stays quiet and gap-free.
Planks are laid with staggered seams, expansion gaps at the walls, and careful fastening or gluing per the manufacturer's specification. For refinishes, we sand back to bare wood in progressive grits for an even canvas.
Final sanding, an optional stain, and multiple coats of a durable finish (oil- or water-based polyurethane, or hardwax oil) seal the wood. Proper cure time before moving furniture back protects the finish for years to come.
